Infrastructure Support

IIT Jammu started constructing the infrastructure in 2016 and has been developing its infrastructure. IIT Jammu has completed its first phase of development in 2024. The first phase of development facilitates academic complex, hostels, and sports facilities for more than 2000 students, including undergraduates and graduates from all departments. The academic complex provides a vibrant support for research facilities and advanced manufacturing machinery. Please visit IIT Jammu for more insights for research facilities.

IIT Jammu has started the development of its second-phase infrastructure. The institute’s infrastructure is crucial for future investments. The institute has planned to bring several important aspects inside campus. The institute has established a cluster of research laboratories, the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), which includes Spectroscopy Lab, X-ray Based Characterization Lab, Optics and Chromatography Lab, Nanofabrication and Physical Property Characterization Lab and many more research facilities.

Another aspect of development is to establish a research park inside the IIT campus, a place to nurture the early-stage startups. The institute has planned to provide all necessary auxiliary services at the research park. The institute’s objective aims for future education and nation-building by creating the innovative research complex as well as supporting the student entrepreneur. Therefore, to accomplish this aim, the contribution from IIT Jammu’s well-wishers is very crucial. These endowments will boost the state-of-the-art of the institute in research, education, and infrastructure development
